For a full-time pediatric occupational therapist role
We are seeking a proactive, self-directed Occupational Therapist to join our team in a dual-capacity role. You will provide high-impact therapy within private/independent schools and directly within the child’s home environment. This role is designed for a clinician who believes that therapy is most effective when integrated into the child’s natural routines and environments. You will be responsible for translating clinical goals into real-life successes, whether that is on a classroom rug or at a family’s kitchen table.
What You’ll Do:
-
Deliver Catalytic Intervention: You will provide individualized OT services, evaluations, treatment, and consultation, within the child’s natural environment (home, school, community) to drive functional, real-world change.
-
Design for Real Life: You will partner with caregivers to develop and implement comprehensive, strengths-based plans that extend beyond the therapy session, basing interventions in functional outcomes that integrate into the child’s actual lifestyle and resources.
-
Bridge Systems: You will provide consultative support that equips schools, educators, and systems to enact change, facilitating the generalization of skills and providing inclusive support for all children.
-
Maintain Clinical Excellence: You will take full ownership of your practice, managing accurate, high-quality, and timely documentation via our EHR and participating in ongoing professional development to ensure care aligns with the latest clinical best practices.
-
Bridge the Communication Gap: You will use a mix of face-to-face coaching, video, text, and email to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
-
Lead Your Process: As a mobile specialist, you will manage your own environment, daily schedule, and clinical approach, supported by a team that trusts your expertise and judgment.
Who You Are:
-
A High-Level Critical Thinker: You look beyond the surface of what is going on to understand the holistic view of the child, environmental systems, and desired activities.
-
A Humble Collaborator: You become a trusted teammate within our partner schools and client families. You are valued for your ability to listen first, provide push-in support that feels helpful, not intrusive, and knowledgeable, actionable support.
-
A Master Communicator: You can pivot between collaborating with a school administrator to supporting a parent at the end of the day.
-
Self-Directed & Independent: You thrive when given the ability to travel, schedule, and document independently.
-
Experienced: You bring at least 3 years of pediatric experience and a deep understanding of developmental milestones, sensory integration, and executive functioning.
The Logistics & Benefits
-
Sustainable Pace: 21 billable-hour target with required but flexible afternoon hours.
-
Competitive Compensation: Negotiable based on experience.
-
Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, and a dedicated budget for professional development and continuing education.
-
Support & Flexibility: Mileage reimbursement for travel between sites and a team-based culture that respects your autonomy.
